Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs our Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN), you will help a diverse patient population experiencing urgent medical needs to receive expert, compassionate, and timely care so they can recover and return to their optimal health as quickly and safely as possible.
Every day you will work within a dynamic, multi-faceted, and team-oriented Emergency Department serving approximately 80,000 patients annually. You will be expected to collaborate closely with skilled physicians, management, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality trauma, stroke, and specialized care within various regional receiving specialties like ortho, high-risk maternity, NICU, and STEMI.

- Assessment: Performs total body and system assessment each shift/visit according to unit standards.
- Care of Patient: Including planning, implementing, evaluating and educating.
- Clinical/Technical Skills: Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to the assigned unit.
- Documentation: Performs legible, timely, concise and accurate documentation according to policies and procedures.
- Proficient and competent with the computerized documentation system.
- Leadership: Accepts responsibility and accountability for own decisions and behaviors. Recognizes, accepts and cooperates with direction from facility leadership.

Job Requirements
Required:
- Two (2) years recent experience in an Emergency department as a RN within the last 5 years
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification - American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification - American Heart Association
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within six (6) months of hire
- Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) within twenty four (24) months of hire
- Associate Degree in Nursing
