This position will cover Pre-Op, PACU, Phase II Recovery Services, Pre- Anesthesia Testing

Functions in collaboration with the Director and Nurse Managers to develop and maintain the clinical orientation program and competency of all nursing staff. The primary responsibility is to ensure that nursing staff, new to the organization, have the resources, support and knowledge to provide excellent nursing care. Main areas of focus will include Medical/Surgical and Critical Care on the evening and night shifts. Other responsibilities may include house-wide education, skill validation, development and coordination of competency programs.

Required qualifications:
  • Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited registered nurse program.
  • If incumbent does not have Bachelors of Nursing at time of hire, they must be enrolled and actively pursuing Bachelors of Nursing degree.
  • Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License.
  • 3 years Current nursing experience in acute care setting.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Master's Degree
  • Upon hire: Teaching degree or equivalent experience
