Job Description

Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine at Providence Little Company of Mary Torrance in Torrance, CA. This position is Full Time and will work -hour, Day shifts.

The nuclear Medicine technologist provides health care services using radionuclides to assist in diagnosis and treatment. He/she has the advanced skills to perform a wide variety of nuclear medicine procedures, computer processing of data and other technical tasks necessary to produce images for the interpretation by, and at the request of a licensed practitioner. He/she exercises professional judgment in the performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics while providing appropriate care essential for successful completion of procedures.

Required Qualifications:
  • Coursework/Training: Completion of an AMA approved radiologic technologist training program.
  • Upon hire: National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or
    • Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • Upon hire: California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • 6 months experience during the last year, or a minimum of 2 years full-time experience with an absence from nuclear medicine of no more than 1 year.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1 year experience in nuclear medicine (not required if recent graduate from an approved technician training program).

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
