Job DescriptionThe Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai is looking for a Nuclear Medicine Physician to join its Department of Radiology, Division of Nuclear Medicine, in New York, NY. Nuclear Medicine Division of Nuclear Medicine at Mount Sinai is a regional and national leader in early implementation of theranostics and has a rapidly growing therapy program. Mount Sinai Health System offers a PET/MR as well as several PET/CT and SPECT, SPECT/CT services at various sites in Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn. Construction of three new radionuclide therapy suites at Mount Sinai Hospital is almost complete, second state-of-the art Siemens Vision PET/CT is delivered and being installed, and two new state-of-the art 64-slice SPECT/CT units will be installed soon.

The chosen candidate must have excellent clinical skills and a passion for Radiology.
Responsibilities- Provide outstanding clinical services, including PET-CT services
- Actively engage in teaching of residents and fellows
- Participate in quality improvement and value initiatives
- Initiate research projects; and develop research collaborations across disciplines at Mount Sinai Health System.
- Apply expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine, including cross sectional imaging as it applies to SPECT/CT, PET/CT, and treatment with radiopharmaceuticals for targeted therapy.
- Manage Phase 1-3 clinical trials, including statistical and clinical trial design, relying on knowledge of cancer biology, radiopharmacy, radiation safety, and the development of investigational radiopharmaceuticals.
- Experience in cardiac PET is desirable.
Qualifications- M.D. or M.D., Ph.D.
- Specialized research experience in diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine, including experience with cross sectional imaging.
- Must be board-certified by ABNM, ABR/NR, or equivalent and have or be eligible for status of Authorized User of radioisotopes.
Compensation range from 335K to 448K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits).
