You Have: • 5+ years of experience with the design and operation of nuclear reactors, steam systems, and associated electrical interconnections such as reactor vessel, control rods, turbine generator, transformers, protection equipment • Experience assessing nuclear site viability, including utility coordination, land access constraints, and environmental clearance requirements • Knowledge of nuclear life cycle costs such as construction, commissioning, O&M, and decommissioning • Knowledge of Department of Energy (DoE), Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), and state and federal energy regulations, including licensing and permitting processes • Ability to review, compare, and validate vendor technology claims against regulatory, system-integration, and performance requirements • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to CONUS and OCONUS locations • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering Nice If You Have: • Experience with energy system design, including distributed generation sources, microgrids, and battery energy storage systems • Experience working with the Department of War in government or contractor roles and supporting GS-15 level clients • Ability to evaluate risks, tradeoffs, and cost implications to inform acquisition, design, and implementation strategies • Ability to leverage electrical modeling software such as EasyPower, ETAP, or SKM • Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering or Electrical Engineering • Professional Engineering (PE) Certification Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Compensation Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
