Position Summary:

The Hatch Energy group is seeking an engineer with interest in Nuclear Energy with physics background. Reporting to the Global Director of Nuclear Energy, you will support projects globally based out of our Mississauga Head office.

Responsibilities:

  • Work independently to perform studies and calculations throughout the full engineering lifecycle, and collaboratively share the results of your analysis with senior members of the Nuclear group and / or other Hatch disciplines
  • Prepare presentations and reports based on the results of your analysis for use by internal and external stakeholders
  • Become knowledgeable about the equipment, structures, and other nuclear technologies you are assigned to assess
  • Complete design assessments using engineering principles
  • Write technical papers and present at conferences to demonstrate expertise in the field and engage clients
  • Support business development activities including market analysis, client engagement, and preparing proposals for new work
  • Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment
  • Conduct site visits, field assessments and client engagement meetings


Education and Experience:

  • Must have graduated with an Engineering degree, and have taken nuclear engineering or physics courses, or have worked in a relevant role
  • Excel academically while being actively involved in extra-curricular and/or volunteer activities at school or in the community
  • Previous work experience within the nuclear industry is an asset, including experience with nuclear industry procedures and/or regulations
  • Academic or work experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point, and experience in Microsoft Project would be preferred
  • Willingness and ability to travel to project sites including remote sites

Base salary range: $90,000 - $120,000
