Full Job Description
About the Role

We are seeking an experienced NPI Engineer to join our Autonomous Vehicle Hardware team. In this role, you will lead new product introduction activities for autonomous vehicle hardware systems, supporting the transition from prototype through pilot builds and into production. You will work cross-functionally with design engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and partners to ensure products are released with robust processes, scalable manufacturing plans, and clear readiness for launch. You will play a critical role in driving manufacturing readiness, launch execution, and cross-functional alignment for complex autonomous vehicle hardware programs.

About the Work
  • Lead new product introduction activities for autonomous vehicle hardware systems from prototype builds through pilot and production launch.
  • Coordinate cross-functional readiness across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and supplier teams to support successful product industrialization.
  • Develop and drive build plans, manufacturing planning, build documentation, and risk mitigation actions for new hardware programs.
  • Partner with design engineering teams to ensure products are designed for manufacturability, assembly, serviceability, and production scalability.
  • Support prototype, EVT, DVT, PVT, and initial production builds by coordinating materials, build execution, issue tracking, and corrective actions.
  • Drive issue resolution and closure for build-related defects, nonconformances, process breakdowns, and supplier readiness concerns.
  • Support product lifecycle management activities including BOM maintenance, workflow coordination, release execution, user support, and data integrity oversight.
  • Assist with engineering change implementation, release coordination, deviation tracking, and configuration updates to ensure traceability and alignment across builds.
  • Help administer PLM workflows, access controls, system usage practices, and documentation standards in support of engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement in launch processes, build execution, manufacturing efficiency, and change management practices.

About You
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in new product introduction, manufacturing engineering, product engineering, or hardware launch support.
  • Experience supporting hardware products through prototype, validation, pilot, and production launch phases.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production ramp challenges, and cross-functional product launch execution.
  • Experience working with design, quality, supply chain, operations, and supplier teams to resolve issues and improve product readiness.
  • Knowledge of DFM/DFA principles, process development, assembly methods, tooling coordination, and build planning.
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis, corrective actions, yield improvement, and manufacturing issue tracking.
  • Experience managing BOMs, part releases, engineering changes, and product data within PLM systems.
  • Prior experience with Teamcenter PLM systems with the ability to diagnose and fix typical issues and system failures.
  • Experience serving in a PLM Administrator, product data management, or configuration control capacity is strongly preferred.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, drive follow-up actions, and coordinate complex cross-functional tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable interpreting engineering drawings, product structures, and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Experience in automotive, robotics, electronics, or complex hardware systems is preferred.
  • Willing and able to support infrequent domestic and international travel.
