Full Job Description
The NPI Buyer is responsible for purchasing and distributing materials, equipment, and supplies in accordance with company guidelines to satisfy NPI requirements. The role will also require meeting cost, quality, and on-time delivery objectives. The NPI buyer will need to work cross functionally and collaborate extensively in the internal supply chain organization to support new production introduction.

Location: On Site - Staunton VA

What you will do:
  • Ensures that company standard procedures are followed in connection with purchases of material and services
  • Analyzes market conditions and trends for transit time and known component shortages; processes requests for all products and commodities NPI related
  • Prepares and issues purchase orders and requisitions; secures price advantages of quantity buying; composes and edits specifications; work with formal and informal bids in accordance with standard procedures
  • Maintain and regularly audit database information, vendor lead times, open purchases, commitments, and shortages for all NPI builds
  • Attend NPI meetings and maintain data, prepares reports and analyzes information using available software
  • Production readiness activities: Send all new NPI parts to be set up with EAU to the buyer that purchases that commodity who will place the orders
  • Collaborate with Supplier Quality on PPAP purchase orders before parts are set up for production readiness, track purchase orders, PPAP progress, and workbook documentation
  • Works cross functionally to resolve barriers with shipments, material shortages, and other disruptions
  • Other Duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience in Administrative, Business, Liberal Arts, Social Sciences, or related field
  • 4+ Years of similar Supply Chain/Buyer experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6+ Years of similar Supply Chain/Buyer experience

The typical pay rate for the position ranges from $ 66,000.00 - 108,800. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position(s) fall. Individual hourly pay rate will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
