Qualifications

Essential Duties:
  • Evaluation and Management: Handle the evaluation and management of Hematology/Cellular Therapy patients undergoing treatment with bispecifics, CAR T-cell therapy, and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) in the Outpatient Cellular Therapy Unit.
  • Symptom Triage and Management: Conduct symptom triage and management, oversee outpatient care, and facilitate inpatient admissions when appropriate. This includes managing side effects, toxicities, and providing supportive care in the infusion center.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Telephone Triage: Manage patient inquiries and provide guidance over the phone.
  • Fast Track Care: Coordinate fast track care processes for efficient patient management.


Qualifications

Education (NP):
  • Master of Nursing Degree.
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse practitioner program approved by the California Board of Registered.

Education (PA-C):
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program required.
  • Bachelor's degree

Experience Requirements:
  • A minimum of two (2) years of inpatient experience as an NP/PA with a focus on malignant hematology, including Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) and CAR T therapy.
  • Experience in critical care inpatient settings is desirable.

Licensure/Certifications Requirements:
  • NP
    • CA RN License.
    • Nurse Practitioner and Furnishing License.
    • National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • PA-C
    • PA-C License
    • National PA-C Certification
  • DEA License (schedule 2-5)
  • ACLS Life Support Certification required.
