Full Job Description
Job title - Senior Software Engineer Job duties - Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical healthcare revenue cycle management systems and deliver high-availability and performance for revenue cycle management solutions. Create user information solutions by developing, implementing, and maintaining Java based components and interfaces. Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle. Review, test, and debug team members' codes, and design database architecture. Schedule product releases with internal teams. Collaborate with the team to identify improvements and upgrades that will reduce cost, improve stability, and increase performance. Responsible for engaging with production support staff and remediating ongoings and/or critical production support issues. Mentor junior and mid-level engineers. Stay on the leading edge of development practices. Hybrid work allowed. Education and Experience Required - Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field and 3 years of application development experience including creating distributed applications through analysis of specific requirements. Alternate Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field and 5 years of application development experience including creating distributed applications through analysis of specific requirements. Background - 1) 3 years of experience working for a healthcare provider, payer, or a healthcare technology organization, with direct exposure to at least one of the following U.S. healthcare revenue workflows: claims (837), remits (835), denials, receivables, or EHR/RCM systems. 2) 2 years of experience in each of the following programming languages: Java (7, 8, 11), Python, JavaScript, SQL, ActionScript, and Google Apps Script. 3) 4) 5) 6) 3 years of experience in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Functional Programming, and modeling skills. 3 years of experience working with agile software development methodologies. 3 years of experience building complex web systems that have been successfully delivered to clients. 3 years of experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, identify tasks, provide estimates, and meet production deadlines. 7) 3 years of experience in professional software engineering delivering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
