OverviewAbile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an NOSC Cyber Analyst supporting a DoD Customer's Classified Network Services. The mission will include Operations, Compliance, Cyber Security, Customer Service, and Engineering. The right NOSC Cyber Analyst candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates across the enterprise to ensure network security devices are being monitored and are receiving or generating alerts.
- Identifies security risks and exposures, determines causes of security violations, and suggests procedures to halt future incidents and improve security.
- Performs network traffic analysis utilizing raw packet data, net flow, IDS, IPS and custom sensor output, as it pertains to the cyber security of communications networks.
- Device monitoring of tiered alerts for all operational networks.
- Maintains documentation for processes and procedures.
- Creates incident reports providing both high level and in-depth details for investigations.
- Leads investigations and mentor junior analysts.
- Develops training pipeline and brown bag sessions for team cross training.
This position is 100% onsite in Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling.
Qualifications
Clearance Required: TS/SCI.
Degree and Years of Experience: 8 to 10 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years with MS/MA or 3 to 5 years with PhD.
- 8 years of Incident Handler/Incident Response experience.
Required Certifications:
- Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, CICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP)
- Current DoD 8570 CSSP-Analyst certification. (CEH, CFR, CySA+, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, SCYBER)
Required Skills:
- Ability to lead cyber investigation and brief updates to customer and team lead.
