Responsibilities

Cover clinical cardiovascular medicine, advanced and structural echocardiography and advanced cardiac imaging (cardiac CT, cardiac MRI); (ii) actively supervise and participate in the performance of diagnostic cardiac testing, such as echocardiograms, TEE, etc.; (iii) actively participate and provide imaging guidance for structural procedures such as TAVR, M-TEER, T-TEER, ASD/PFO closures, Watchman implants etc.; (iv) diagnose and treat patients; (v) prescribe medication; (vi) admit patients to hospital, becoming attending physician of record for such patients as necessary; (vii) provide night and weekend on-call coverage according to established schedule to ensure continuation of quality patient care for the service; (viii) complete all documentation in patient medical records; (ix) educate and counsel patient, family and care givers on medical condition, medications prescribed, plan of care and follow-up to treatment; participates in discharge planning process as appropriate; (x) assess and treat patients in private office; (xi) participate in follow up care of private office patients; (xii) assist with day to day operations of the Echocardiography Laboratory; (xiii) assist in creating and implementing strategies, policies, procedures and best practices needed to support the optimal performance of the Echocardiography Laboratory; and (xiv) interpret Nuclear Stress Testing.

Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine (or foreign equivalent). NY State Medical License/Eligibility. Also requires: Structural Heart Intervention Imaging and Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging Fellowships.

Pay Range

USD $400,000.00 - USD $525,000.00 /Yr.
