Job Description

A successful candidate in the Director of Brand & Marketing role is a champion multi-tasker, a brilliant communicator and coordinator with a strong ability to manage priorities and projects in a dynamic environment. A passion for visual story telling combined with sharp attention to detail is key. He/She is someone who can work as a team with a variety of stakeholders, internally and externally, with a focus on maintaining deadlines and making sure everyone is in-the-know and excited about cultural initiatives. In addition to the creative projects that the Director of Brand & Marketing will work on, he/she will be coordinating meetings, weekly and monthly reports, manage invoicing and payments to creative vendors and other administrative duties.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Hotel Programming & Creative Partnerships
  • Supports and promotes department goals to drive culture, revenue and visibility to a growing community of relevant and loyal brand allies
  • Develops a regular calendar of events in the hotel and F&B spaces, collaborating with the hotel ops team, NoMad corporate team and/or local partners when applicable
  • Oversees the development and internal communication processes for the successful execution of all brand and marketing events by the operations team
  • Develops partnership opportunities with relevant brands, influencers, companies and others to create brand/property awareness, guest culture, programming, creative assets, and revenue.
  • Oversees the development of all materials needed for event promotion (fliers, web/social/email copy) with internal brand and marketing team and 3rd party vendors

Creative Assets
  • Responsible for working with Commercial Director and Marketing Coordinator on creating photo and video shoot briefs, coordinating with relevant departments (sales, ops, revenue management) on photo needs and photo shoot logistics, and schedules regular lifestyle and property shoots.
  • Serves as property lead for all photo shoots, working with onsite operations teams for all on-property shoots - photo brief creation, layering, styling, coordination
  • Assists Hilton content team in planning and executing video and photo shoots
  • Maintains and circulates an organized database of photography that is available to relevant property teams
  • Obtains and archives all necessary usage agreements and implements all relevant photo procedures

Social Media
  • Manages all social media channels (alongside 3rd party agency) and adheres to NoMad social media strategy
  • Works with Digital agency to ensure that paid social and digital campaigns reflect the relevant needs of the business
  • Track ROI from digital campaigns
  • Maintains an editorial calendar to manage content and promotional needs in a timely fashion
  • Manages 3rd party social media agency

Hotel Creative Trades & Influencer Strategies
  • Executes creative trade strategy and oversees a regular schedule to achieve culture and business needs
  • Leverages creative trades to achieve business needs (ex. Lifestyle photography)
  • Maintains a database of cultural contacts from a variety of sources (event RSVP lists, etc.)

Sales & Revenue Management Support
  • Coordinates all website updates
  • Coordinates email communications
    • Monthly property culture eBlasts
    • Update Guest communication letters on a regular basis to showcase relevant on-property happenings
    • Content for OTAs and third-party sites (quarterly review)

Graphic Design & Copywriting
  • Maintains all property collateral
    • In-room and property touchpoints
    • Event fliers
    • Sales collateral templates and updates
    • Marketing materials (digital ads, etc.)
    • Copy and images for rooms promos
    • Creative signage and wayfinding
    • HR materials
    • Brand immersion materials

In-Room/Property Touchpoints & Standards
  • Maintains property touch points in accordance with brand guidelines
    • In-room and on-property collateral
    • Sales and VIP amenities
    • Room layering
    • Holiday décor
    • Lighting
    • Music
    • Floral program
    • Uniforms
    • In-room publication
  • Develops and maintains brand guidelines, look books and standards for brand consistency and communicates them effectively to all relevant internal departments on property

PR
  • Supports Commercial Director in management of 3rd party PR agency
  • Participates in regular PR calls and provides regular updates on promotional opportunities

Reporting
  • Works with Commercial Director to maintain creative budget
  • Coordinates regular reporting with help of Marketing Coordinator, including weekly programming emails, monthly memos, and annual plans


Qualifications

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Experience & Relevant Skills
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in marketing, brand management, communications, or a related discipline, preferably within luxury hospitality, travel, lifestyle, or premium consumer brands.
  • Proven experience developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that strengthen brand positioning, drive awareness, generate demand, and contribute to revenue growth.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including the ability to manage, mentor, and develop team members and effectively lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of luxury hospitality, including the guest journey and the marketing of rooms, food and beverage, spa, events, meetings, and other experiential offerings.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop compelling brand narratives and communicate effectively with senior leadership, internal stakeholders, media, agencies, and external partners.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to translate business objectives and market insights into actionable marketing strategies.
  • Demonstrate expertise across digital marketing, social media, content, email, website, paid media, public relations, partnerships, and experiential marketing.
  • Strong understanding of marketing analytics and the ability to use performance data, consumer insights, and market trends to inform strategy and optimize campaigns.
  • Experience managing external agencies, creative partners, media partners, vendors, and marketing budgets.
  • Highly organized with exceptional project management skills and the ability to oversee multiple priorities, campaigns, and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong creative sensibility with a keen eye for brand consistency, visual storytelling, and compelling guest-facing experiences.
  • Knowledge of local, national, and international travel and luxury consumer markets, with an ability to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
  • Professional, confident, and collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence and build alignment across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suites and familiarity with marketing, CRM, CMS, analytics, social media, email, and creative platforms.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel as business needs require.
