KaylaTek has an exciting C4 Systems maintenance technician opportunity supporting the AFNCR IT contract at the National Military Command Center.
The AFNCR IT Services program provides support services for information systems for Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other Air Force activities within the AFNCR, missions to include the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), and other locations, leased spaces, and alternate sites. The major support areas required are: IT Operations and Maintenance; Plans, Projects, and Engineering (PP&E); and National Military Command Center (NMCC). The senior leaders and national defense missions that are supported require that the AFNCR operations never fail, resulting in a fast-paced, challenging, but also rewarding environment.

Essential Job Functions- Troubleshoots and maintains Nuclear Command and Control Computer Systems.
- Provides nuclear threat warning, and Command and Control support to the NMCC, and other Department of Defense components throughout the National Capital Region.
- Provides advice and guidance in implementing IT security policies and procedures in the development and operation of network systems.
- Coordinates maintenance and operational actions directly with the Joint Staff, DDO, CWO, and the Joint Staff Surveillance Officer.
- Provides 24/7 maintenance for Processing Display Subsystem-Migration (PDS-M) for the DDO, Surveillance Officer, and all Secure Operation Teams.
- Conducts risk and vulnerability assessments of installed information systems to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and protection needs.
- Performs maintenance of Ground Communication Network Modernization (GCNM), Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC), Communications Processing System (CPS), and the components used to make these systems work including smart routers, keyboards, cabling, servers, and personal computers.
- Maintains a comprehensive quality assurance program for diverse platforms that covers, file backup and recovery, equipment maintenance, and quality control of systems processing and outputs.

- 5+ Years experience
Basic Qualifications- Associate Degree plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree).
- Active DoD TS/SCI/SCI elig Security Clearance.
- Current CompTIA Security+ certification (DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant).
- This position requires a minimum of five years' experience, of which at least three years must be specialized.
- An associate degree in computer science/systems, information systems/technology, engineering/engineering technology, software engineering/programming, management, natural sciences, social sciences, mathematics or business/finance or an applicable training certificate from an accredited training institution.
- Education and experience requirements may be substituted with:1. A bachelor's degree (in subjects described above) and four years general experience of which at least two years must be specialized experience.2.No degree and eight years general experience of which at least six years is specialized experience.
- Strict attention to detail and adherence to security compliance processes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to assist users clearly and professionally
