Overview

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a Systems Administrator, Senior to support the NISSC 3 program at Cheyenne Mnt, Colorado. This position delivers technical and operational support for mission systems by providing onsite and oncall coverage for system administration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and user support in a TS/SCI environment. The Systems Support Specialist will help ensure operational readiness, data integrity, and highquality reporting in coordination with program leadership and stakeholders

Responsibilities
• Deliver onsite and oncall technical and operational support for mission systems at Raven Rock, including system administration, monitoring, and health checks.
• Perform troubleshooting and corrective actions for hardware, software, network, and system performance issues.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, including software patches, updates, configuration changes, and performance tuning.
• Provide firstline user support and training for system access, basic operations, and issue resolution.
• Collect, maintain, and update operational logs, incident and deficiency reports, and checklists in accordance with program and security standards.
• Perform incident response, including initial triage, escalation, coordination with highertier support, and closure documentation.
• Execute backup and restore operations to ensure data integrity, availability, and continuity of operations.
• Support system administration and database support tasks as needed to maintain operational environments.
• Oversee procedural compliance and ensure all records, logs, and reports meet required operational, security, and audit requirements.
• Act as a technical resource for performance optimization, data integrity, continuity of operations, and support of management status reporting.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of relevant experience in systems or network administration, systems support, or similar technical roles in secure, missioncritical (DoD or similar) environments.
• Strong leadership capabilities in directing project/task execution across domains such as maintenance, integration, and data management.
• Experience in resource allocation, monitoring progress, and ensuring quality deliverables to drive task success.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve operational issues and provide precise, timely status updates to management and stakeholders.
• Experience managing schedules and aligning tasks with program objectives to support integrated operations across functional domains.
• Strong documentation skills for logs, incident reports, configuration and asset records, and technical documentation.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field,
OR Equivalent DoD/Military training in systems administration, network operations, or a related technical discipline.

• Minimum: Active TS/SCI clearance required to start.

• Holds a DoD 8140 qualifying certification; one or more of the following (or equivalent) is required/preferred:
- Cloud+
- GSEC
- Security+
- SSCP

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $96,800.00/Yr. - USD $161,500.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
