Are you passionate about driving commercial strategies in a fast-paced technology environment? As an NI IP Commercial Manager, you will shape deals, manage approvals, and support negotiations across the sales cycle. Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial strategy of customer proposals
  • Manage approval processes and escalation paths for key deals
  • Advise senior stakeholders on commercial, contractual, and technical considerations
  • Oversee and govern non-standard commitments, including deviations from product portfolios, roadmaps, and policies
  • Partner with Sales, Pre-sales, and Business Groups to develop competitive pricing strategies
  • Support and actively participate in customer negotiations throughout the sales cycle
  • Drive profitability and risk management across deals
  • Build and present business cases to support strategic sales initiatives


Qualifications

You have:
  • Must be based in Ottawa, Canada or Dallas, Texas, and eligible to work in that location
  • Bachelor/Master's degree in Business and/or Technology field and 7+ years equivalent work experience.
  • Solid business acumen with ability to identify and assess pricing and commercial issues and drive to successful resolution.
  • Ability to guide and influence multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Skilled communicator with ability to constructively advise senior business decision makers.


It would be nice if you also had:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of NI IP and/or Optics, or equivalent competitive products.
  • Familiarity with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Salesforce (sCRM).
