Newark Site Lead

Location: Newark, Ohio (Relocation Assistance Available)

Compensation: $260K Base Salary + 40% Annual Bonus + Long-Term Incentive

We are seeking an experienced manufacturing leader to serve as the Newark Site Lead for its Engineering Plastics operation in Newark, Ohio. This is a senior leadership opportunity responsible for directing all aspects of a major manufacturing facility that produces industry-leading engineered resin products, including Makrolon®, Bayblend®, Makroblend®, and Apec® materials.

This role combines strategic leadership with operational excellence and offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing organization while shaping the long-term future of a critical North American manufacturing site.

What You'll Do

As Newark Site Lead, you will have full responsibility for site operations, performance, and leadership across multiple functional areas, including:
  • Manufacturing Operations
  • Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ)
  • Reliability and Maintenance
  • Quality Assurance
  • Process and Product Development
  • Human Resources
  • Procurement
  • Warehousing and Logistics
  • Utilities and Site Infrastructure
  • Security and Compliance
  • Financial and Operational Performance

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
  • Developing and executing long-term site and asset strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Championing large-scale capital projects and facility improvements.
  • Supporting new product introductions and customer-focused innovation initiatives.
  • Ensuring compliance with all corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and environmental standards.
  • Developing future leaders through coaching, succession planning, and talent development.
  • Serving as the primary representative of the Newark site with community organizations, industry groups, and government agencies.
  • Contributing as a member of both North American and Global Engineering Plastics leadership teams.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
  • 5+ years of experience leading managers and supervisors in a multi-level organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in production, technology, and HSE leadership.
  • Strong operational leadership and business management capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Labor relations experience.
  • Significant experience within plastics, polymers, resins, engineered materials, or specialty chemical manufacturing.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience.
  • Experience leading large, diverse organizations.
  • Capital project leadership experience.
  • Experience working within a global manufacturing organization.
  • Strong stakeholder management and community engagement skills.
  • Experience interacting with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
