Job DescriptionK&L Gates is seeking to hire a mid-level associate to join the Commercial Disputes practice in our dynamic Newark office. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience with general commercial litigation matters, multi-district litigation, or class actions in state and federal courts. Candidates should have experience independently conducting research, drafting substantive pleadings and motions, and organizing, conducting, and managing the discovery practice, including e-discovery.
Candidates must have a J.D. from an accredited law school and be admitted to or eligible to sit for the New Jersey Bar. Clerkship or journal experience preferred but not required. Candidates will work closely with experienced lawyers who will provide active mentoring and opportunities to assume increasing levels of responsibility and client contact. Candidates must be self-starters who possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team. We require strong academic credentials, excellent communication skills, and exceptional research and writing abilities. We desire candidates with a commitment to providing the highest quality client service.

Base Compensation $215,000 - $255,000/ year
The compensation salary for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors.
