Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities

1. Portfolio Finance Leadership
  • Lead the BU's development and investment portfolio process, including prioritization, funding recommendations, and resource allocation.
  • Partner with Engineering and Product Management teams to evaluate new product investments using ROI, NPV, cash flow, and scenario analyses.
  • Drive portfolio governance through established operating cadences, including Product Portfolio Reviews, Quarterly planning, IRBs, and Enterprise Portfolio Reviews.
  • Develop and maintain business cases for major R&D investments, platform developments, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Provide independent financial assessment of portfolio risks, investment returns, milestone achievement, and commercialization readiness.
  • Recommend portfolio tradeoffs, funding shifts, acceleration opportunities, and program exits based on strategic and financial performance.
  • Support annual planning, strategic reviews, and long-range portfolio roadmaps.
2. Business Unit Financial Stewardship
  • Own BU P&L performance, including revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, headcount, and profitability.
  • Lead monthly forecasting, quarterly outlooks, annual operating planning, and long-range strategic plans.
  • Analyze business performance, identify risks and opportunities, and drive corrective actions with leadership teams.
  • Develop actionable financial insights related to product mix, pricing, volume, profitability, and investment returns.
  • Support strategic decisions regarding market expansion, customer opportunities, partnerships, and business development initiatives.
  • Deliver executive-level financial reviews and recommendations to senior leadership.
3. Controller & Governance Responsibilities
  • Ensure financial results comply with corporate accounting policies, controls, and governance requirements.
  • Partner with Accounting and Finance ACE / COEs on close activities, accruals, reserves, capitalization, and financial reporting.
  • Provide oversight of spend management and investment execution versus approved budgets.
  • Lead financial risk assessments and ensure adequate controls are maintained across the organization.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements and maintain strong SOX compliance practices.
  • Drive consistency and data integrity across planning, reporting, and financial management systems.
4. Strategic Business Partnership
  • Serve as trusted advisor to the GM and leadership team on financial, operational, and strategic matters.
  • Influence decisions related to technology investments, product roadmaps, talent deployment, capacity planning, and productivity initiatives.
  • Lead financial modeling and scenario planning for acquisitions, partnerships, new product introductions, and business transformations.
  • Translate complex financial data into clear recommendations and executive narratives.
  • Drive accountability for business outcomes and operational execution.

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience in FP&A, business finance, portfolio finance, controllership, or strategic finance.
  • Experience supporting technology, engineering, semiconductor, capital equipment, or product-oriented organizations.
  • Strong financial modeling experience including NPV, ROI, DCF, scenario analysis, and capital allocation frameworks.
  • Proven leadership experience influencing executive and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and accounting principles.
Preferred
  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent advanced qualification.
  • Experience supporting R&D-intensive organizations and product development portfolios.
  • Experience with portfolio management processes, project funding governance, and investment review boards.
  • Knowledge of SAP, BPC, Anaplan, PRM, and enterprise planning systems.
  • Experience leading finance teams within complex, global organizations.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
