Full Job Description
Job Purpose

Collaborate with design from feasibility through design phase to achieve a product that can be manufactured with-in the factory's capabilities while working with MMC's to prepare and execute the trial phase of the new model developmen

Key Accountabilities

  • Conduct feasibilities studies and detailed confirmations of new technologies, design concepts and manufacturing processe
  • Identify past model problem history, opportunities for cost savings and safety concern
  • Collaborate with product designers to develop most efficient manufacturing proces
  • Ensure a robust process design for mass production combining manufacturing requirements, factory characteristics and project targets
  • Through the New Model development, create and maintain all documents necessary for process, quality, robot/equipment, training to meet certification and support daily production needs for the new model
  • Support launch of the vehicle during initial production at the factory (T stage
  • Lead and support collaborative problem solving activity with team members from final assembly factory, regional new model, and product design
  • Develop capability of self, colleagues, and team through training, mentoring, and sharing of experiences in area of technical expertise and understanding for succession planning and team growt

Working Conditions
  • Generally, first shift production hours, occasional split/second shift support required. 0-5 hours OT weekly
  • 20% Fast-paced high-energy manufacturing environment, 80% office environment
  • Travel 10% per year depending on project location/status
