Join a team that brings new products from concept to production. As the Concurrent Engineering Specialist, you'll lead cross-functional collaboration across R&D, design, manufacturing and suppliers to keep projects on track, on budget, and built to a high standard. You'll be a key driver of the Kubota Production System (KPS), continuous improvement, and the successful launch of new models worldwide.
What you'll do- Lead and support concurrent engineering activities across teams for new product development, ensuring smooth handoffs from R&D through mass production.
- Own and refine the Concurrent 2.0 process across all project phases to boost speed, quality, and clarity.
- Prepare and share clear, actionable project documentation, reports, and materials for stakeholders and leadership.
- Track schedules, milestones, and deliverables using project management tools to keep programs on schedule.
- Facilitate collaboration and timely communication among internal teams, suppliers, and design groups.
- Support cost-improvement efforts and provide final tooling cost estimates.
- Champion Quality Renovation (QR) activities to ensure robust implementation of new models.
- Distribute New Product Notices (NPN), XVL data, and development schedules to the right teams at the right time.
- Analyze cross-functional data to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities, and translate findings into practical recommendations.
- Support special projects, including translation and supplier communication for global programs.
- Be available for occasional meetings outside standard hours to support international collaboration.
What we're looking for:Essential
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related technical field.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, able to coordinate multiple workstreams.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of Visio, Project, or ClickUp is a plus.
- Clear, effective written and verbal communication in English.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and product development cycles.
Preferred
- Experience in project management, production, or manufacturing engineering.
- Comfortable reading engineering drawings and managing change documentation.
- Experience with internal Kubota systems (e.g., XVL, LX, AS400) is a plus.
- Background in cost analysis or continuous improvement methodologies.
Working conditions & physical requirementsThis role may include varied physical conditions typical of manufacturing environments. You should be able to work in hot or cold environments, use your hands to handle tools and controls, and perform activities such as reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs may be required. Visual abilities include close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus.
