Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehabilitation Hospital is currently seeking a neuropsychologist/psychologist This role involves conducting assessments and providing psychological treatment for individuals with injuries. The position also includes supporting families, addressing adjustment and coping challenges, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
• Provide neuropsychological and psychological services for Complex Medical Conditions .
• Offer education and supportive counseling to patients and families, aiding them in coping with life-altering situations and assisting with decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nursing, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, recreational therapy, social work, and other allied health professionals.
• Assist the team in understanding the neuropsychological status of individuals and collaboratively develop treatment plans and behavior interventions.
• Conduct cognitive and behavioral assessments using a variety of methods, including evidence-based assessment tools, clinical interviews and direct observation and documenting in electronic medical record.
• Develop and implement behavioral interventions. Support treatment teams in the application of these strategies.
• Engage in opportunities for supervision and teaching activities, including didactics and supervision of graduate psychology trainees.
• Communicating effectively and interacting with all levels of staff, primary care providers, patients and community agencies.
• Complies with hospital and Network policies regarding confidentiality. Complies with all policies related to Emergency Procedures as defined in the Environment of Care plans. Knows personal role in event of a disaster or emergency.

Education - Required • in Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited university.

Education - Preferred • Specialization in Neuropsychology strongly preferred.
