Job Summary

Provides foundational technical support and operational maintenance of network and wireless infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient connectivity across organizational facilities.

Responsibilities

Network & Wireless Administrator

Designs, implements, and supports LAN and WAN connectivity solutions, applying established routing, switching, and security standards to ensure stable and secure network operations.

Maintains network infrastructure components, including servers, network devices, UPS systems, cabling, and server room environments to ensure reliability and compliance with organizational standards.

Monitors network performance, identifies connectivity issues, and performs routine troubleshooting to minimize service disruptions and support uninterrupted operations.

Evaluates and procures network hardware, software, and telecommunications solutions, and coordinates vendor and contractor activities to ensure cost-effective, technically compliant installation, maintenance, and lifecycle support of network infrastructure.

Maintains accurate technical documentation for network configurations, assets, and changes to support operational continuity and audits.

Completes other job duties as assigned.

Senior Network & Wireless Administrator (in addition to the duties listed above)

Provide advanced technical oversight, cross-functional coordination, and system-level optimization of enterprise communications and network services.

Consults with operational departments to assess current and future communication needs, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Lead Network & Wireless Administrator (in addition to all duties listed above)

Provides strategic leadership, design direction, and oversight for enterprise-wide network and communications systems, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and long-term technology planning.

Develops and administers operational and capital budgets for network and communications functions, ensuring fiscal responsibility while meeting service level and strategic objectives.

Provides strategic oversight and executive-level direction for all audiovisual operations supporting corporate events, meetings, and presentations. Ensures seamless integration of audio, video, camera systems, and recording workflows, while governing the distribution and publication of content across the organization's authorized streaming platforms.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Senior Network & Wireless Administrator

Provides hands-on operational leadership to less experienced staff, ensuring clear workflows, consistent performance standards, and effective execution of daily responsibilities across the department.

Lead Network & Wireless Administrator (in addition to responsibilities listed above)

May assume duties and responsibilities in absence of the manager or as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge important to perform the functions of this job include:

Comprehensive knowledge of occupational hazards and required safety practices related to the installation, maintenance, and construction of telecommunications equipment and hardware.

Thorough understanding of telecommunications methods, standards, and industry best practices.

Knowledge of telecommunications systems, components, and emerging technologies.

Knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) communications systems, architectures, and technologies.

Proficiency in the use of diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and troubleshooting protocols applicable to telecommunications environments.

Knowledge of telephone and related telecommunications equipment, including Motorola handheld radios, Siyata SD7 (T-Mobile), and associated management utilities supporting wireless applications.

Knowledge of proper operation techniques for construction equipment used in the installation, maintenance, and construction of telecommunications infrastructure.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation, reporting, and administrative tasks.

Skills important to perform the functions of this job include:

Skill in troubleshooting communications systems.
Skill in using tools for terminating, splicing, repairing, and maintaining communications media.
Strong oral and written communication skills in English.

Abilities important to perform the functions of this job include:

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, the general public, private consulting firms, and construction contractors.
Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in making decisions.
Ability to research issues, analyze information, and resolve problems in a timely and effective manner.
Ability to configure, interpret, and apply Layer 3 configurations and security protocols.
Ability to remain on call or standby for reasonable periods of time and comply with established on-call scheduling requirements.

Education & Experience Requirements

Network & Wireless Administrator

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, with four (4) years of hands-on experience installing and configuring communications infrastructure, including structured cabling systems, telephony hardware, computer and network equipment, and other enterprise-grade communications technologies.

Senior Network & Wireless Administrator

Two (2) additional years of relevant professional work experience are required.

Lead Network & Wireless Administrator

Three (3) additional years of progressively responsible professional experience are required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

A valid Texas Driver License or receipt of a valid Texas Driver License within 90 days of relocation to Texas and a safe driving record as measured by company policy is required.

Senior Network & Wireless Administrator (in addition to requirements listed above)
Must currently possess a recognized network certification such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA or equivalent.

Lead Network & Wireless Administrator (in addition to all requirements listed above)
Must currently possess a recognized network certification such as CompTIA Security+, CCNP or equivalent.
