JOB PURPOSE

The Network Lead is a key figure in overseeing and enhancing our network infrastructure, crucial for sustaining our technological and business processes. This role involves strategic planning, execution, and maintenance of network systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability. The Network Lead will be responsible for leading a team of network professionals, managing a diverse range of network environments, and ensuring alignment with our overall IT strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Network Strategy and Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive network strategy that supports the organization's business objectives and technology roadmap.
  • Network Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of network infrastructure, including hardware, software, and other related systems.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure network security protocols are in place, updated, and compliant with industry standards, including proactive measures to prevent network breaches.
  • Project Management: Lead network-related projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Manage and develop a team of network professionals, fostering a collaborative and performance-oriented environment.
  • Vendor Management: Liaise with vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring effective service delivery.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging network technologies and trends, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance system performance and efficiency.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in network management, with a proven track record in overseeing complex network infrastructures, preferably in a manufacturing or similar industry.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and relevant network certifications (such as CCNA, CCNP) are highly desirable.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, VPNs, wireless technology, network security, and cloud services.
  • Leadership Skills: Extensive experience in leading and developing a technical team, with strong interpersonal and management skills.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to align network strategies with business goals and adapt to evolving technological and business landscapes.
