Network Infrastructure Pre Sales Engineer

WHAT YOU'LL DO: • Pre-Sales: Lead impactful customer presentations and equipment demonstrations on-site or virtually; work closely with sales to develop and nurture customer relationships while executing both strategic and tactical objectives; actively contribute to proposal creation and tailored solution presentations.
• On-Site Engagement: Attend on-site customer meetings as required, providing technical expertise, solution guidance, and ensuring alignment between client needs and proposed architectures. Travel to customer locations will be needed based on project requirements.
• Architectural Oversight: Provide Architect Level oversight on large, complex projects, ensuring best practices in design, implementation, and integration, while maintaining technical leadership throughout all phases of project delivery.
• Post-Sales: Deliver architect-level technical support during project startup and, when necessary, after implementation, guaranteeing a seamless transition and ongoing client satisfaction.
• Technical: Identify, position, and promote opportunities for MGT's MSP solutions, including Monitoring, Element Management, SIEM/SOC, and Managed VoIP/Cloud VoIP.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING: Key Technical Qualifications • Strong knowledge of routing and switching.
• L2 edge switches, L3 routers, VPN technology, and optical network devices.
• Layer 4-7 application switches, firewalls (NG Firewalls), load balancers, IDPs, and cybersecurity practices.
• WLAN technologies (Controller and Cloud managed).
• Experience with products from leading providers: HPE - Juniper/Aruba, Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Arista, and F5 (vendor certifications preferred).
• OSI network model, Ethernet, and TCP/IP networking.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience • Five (5) or more years of hands-on experience in an applicable technology field.
• Two (2) or more years of pre-sales engineering experience.
Skills • Proven ability to design and implement large-scale solutions including budgetary and detailed cost estimating.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate customer requirements into bill of materials (BOM) and system design.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt to new technologies.
• Excellent customer presentation skills.
• Willingness to pursue ongoing learning and professional growth.
