Minimum qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering or Telecom Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in DWDM or TCP/IP or system design operations methodology.
- Experience with field operation technicians, engineers, contractors, or vendors in a telecommunications working environment (e.g., installation, commissioning and network troubleshooting).
Preferred qualifications:- Experience in one or more of the following disciplines; layer 1 infrastructures, layer 3 routing TCP/IP, wireless networking, network design, or operations.
- Understanding of optical design trade offs and awareness of TL1/CLI automation.
- Proficiency in NPI and writing test plan documents in lab or staging environment.
- Proficient in creating long-haul optical designs using vendor design tools, applying technical judgement to a given optical design, translating to bits on the wire.
- Ability to identify repetitive work and propose automation for small workflows.
