Key Responsibilities

• Network Operations & Maintenance:

• Perform daily monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, wireless access points, and load balancers.

• Ensureoptimalperformance and availability of network services across a nationwide footprint.

• Support andmaintainVoIP solutions to ensure reliable voice communication across the organization.

• Service Management:

• Support andmaintainVPN connectivity for remote users and secure communications.

• Manage internet connectivity via TIC (Trusted Internet Connection) and ensure compliance with security standards.

• Maintain andoptimizecloud connectivity withAWSandAzureenvironments.

• Oversee high-speed connectivity throughESNetfor critical applications and data transfers.

• Incident Response & Support:

• Provide24x7 supportfor network-related incidents and outages, including on-call rotation.

• Diagnose and resolve complex network issues promptly to minimize downtime.

• Configuration & Deployment:

• Configure and deploy network devices and services, ensuring adherence to best practices and security policies.

• Implement changes and upgrades to network hardware and software asrequired.

• Documentation & Compliance:

• Maintainaccuratenetwork diagrams, documentation, and configuration records.

• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards for network security and performance.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 3 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 9 years with High School Diploma

Technical Expertise:

• Hands-on experience withCisco,Juniper,Palo Alto, andF5network hardware and software.

• Strong understanding of routing, switching, load balancing, and wireless technologies.

• Proficiencyin VPN technologies, TIC connectivity, and cloud networking (AWS, Azure).

Certifications:

• CCNAor equivalent certification recommended; higher-level certifications (CCNP, JNCIP, PCNSE, F5-CA) are a plus.

Other Skills:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Must be able to obtain andmaintaina Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.

Target Salary Range$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual27s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
