Full Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:

The Network Engineer will serve as a primary engineer and developer supporting the program's X-Lab Test Program. This role focuses on network buildout, deployment to operational environments, and coordination with the events team to support upcoming test schedules.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Serve as a primary Network Engineer supporting the program's X-Lab Test Program
  • Support network buildout and deployments to the operational environment as required
  • Collaborate with the X-Lab Events Team to understand test schedules
  • Provide network engineering support for all upcoming tests
  • Perform network engineering and development activities in support of program objectives

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Proven hands-on, mid-level experience in network engineering
  • Knowledge of network design, development, and testing methodologies
  • Understanding of the OSI Model and TCP/IP
  • Experience with routing protocols including BGP and OSPF
  • Network traffic analysis, diagnostics, and troubleshooting experience
  • Experience with Juniper firewalls (required)
  • Experience with UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE tunnels, and TCP/IP network design
  • Hands-on experience with multi-vendor switching and routing (Juniper), WAN optimization, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment
  • Understanding of DoD security practices including STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation
  • Familiarity with RMF, including assessment of system compliance with DoD RMF standards (DoDI 8510.01)
  • Ability to review, verify, and validate DoD IA RMF documentation and artifacts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience creating presentations and diagrams using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently on large field projects
  • Possession of DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA)

EDUCATION: Bachelors with 3+ or Master with 1+ Years of Experience

LOCATION: Full Time/ On-Site at Schriever Base in Colorado Springs, CO

CLEARANCE REQUIRMENT: Secret

DOD 8570 REQUIREMENT: IAT - Level II

SALARY RANGE: $105,000 to $122,400

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.

Estimated Pay Range

$105,000-$122,400 USD
