Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with strong expertise in enterprise networking, routing and switching, load balancing, firewalls, network monitoring, and network architecture. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting complex network environments and collaborating with customers, application teams, and third-party vendors.
Essential Skills - Strong knowledge of Cisco networking technologies.
- Strong experience with F5 or other load-balancing technologies.
- Strong understanding of routing and switching technologies and protocols.
- Experience with high-speed data technologies, including MPLS, IP, and carrier diversity.
- Strong knowledge of Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Panorama.
- Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds.
- Strong understanding of enterprise network architecture and infrastructure.
- Ability to create high-level and low-level network diagrams.
- Strong documentation and network standards-management skills.
Key Responsibilities - Work with customers to understand their network environments and architecture.
- Design and document high-level and low-level network diagrams.
- Establish, document, and enforce network and system standards.
- Review and oversee third-party vendor implementations.
- Secure network infrastructure by implementing security policies and monitoring access.
- Troubleshoot network performance issues, outages, and connectivity problems.
- Plan and coordinate network upgrades, optimizations, and infrastructure refreshes.
- Troubleshoot and support firewalls, routers, switches, and load-balancing environments.
- Provide remote troubleshooting, fault isolation, and support for initial network installations.
- Perform network capacity planning and audits of deployed infrastructure.
- Collaborate regularly with third-party network engineers and service providers.
- Work closely with application project managers, developers, and other technical teams.
- Participate in meetings with customers, engineering teams, and third-party vendors.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve network performance, reliability, security, and scalability.
Qualifications - 8+ years of network engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with enterprise networking technologies.
- Experience working with customers and cross-functional technical teams.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple network initiatives and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
