Provides advanced level network services. Provides support and guidance for network design and installation projects using standard technologies.
Responsibilities:- Provides advanced level network services, including installing, configuring, and integrating new network technologies. Conducts pilots, makes recommendations, and ensures network installations meet standards.
- Provides advanced level network design and debugging services to development teams. Works closely with developers to implement reliable, manageable, and secure solutions for external connections.
- Provides advanced level telecom network services for complex issues elevated from the Support Center and Technical Services groups. Identifies failing components.
- Maintains and monitors network system performance and identifies performance issues and trends. Implements improvements and identifies opportunities to automate manual system tasks. Develops and maintains telecom network documentation.
- Completes network capacity planning activities, including monitoring the network and tracking network capacity metrics. Initiates actions to prevent network degradation caused by capacity issues.
- Trains and mentors staff. Conducts formal training sessions and recommends training vendors. Troubleshoots and resolves complex issues.
- Thoroughly understands and complies with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:- Minimum of five years related work experience. Network experience preferred.
- Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) preferred.
