Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
• Expert knowledge in LAN switching, including VLANs and Layer 2 and 3 configurations.
• Expertise in Layer 3 routing protocols like EIGRP, OSPF, and IS-IS.
• Strong skills in L1/L2 network troubleshooting for both Unclassified and Classified networks.
• In-depth knowledge of DoD network and application security requirements.
• Experience in managing and troubleshooting encryption devices in network environments.
• Familiarity with DoD COMSEC management processes and procedures.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance is required.
• Holds active CompTIA Security +CE or CCNP Security certification.
• CCNA Certification is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Monitor data and infrastructure system networks for alerts and issues.
• Identify and resolve problems, escalating as necessary.
• Troubleshoot using scripts and standard procedures, escalating as needed.
• Initiate resolutions on enterprise-level routers and switches.
• Interface with vendors to address network outages and performance issues.
• Process Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI's) as directed.
• Maintain security posture on network equipment according to DoD requirements.
• Support special projects and ongoing operations as assigned.
• Participate in on-call rotation for network support.
