Job Description
Network Engineer
Routing & Switching Responsibilities
• Design, configure, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, MPLS, and data center networks
• Hands on management of Cisco routers and switches (IOS, NX OS)
• Configure and maintain BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, HSRP, VRRP, QoS
• Troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 network issues and perform root cause analysis
• Perform network upgrades, firmware updates, and hardware refresh activities
• Support ISP circuits, LTE failover, and redundancy configurations
• Maintain accurate network diagrams and documentation
AVI Load Balancer & NSX Responsibilities
• Design, deploy, and support VMware AVI (NSX Advanced Load Balancer) solutions
• Configure virtual services, pools, health monitors, SSL profiles, persistence, and security policies
• Integrate AVI with NSX, VMware vCenter, and application environments
• Support NSX-T networking, including logical switches, Tier 0/Tier 1 gateways, and segments
• Analyze traffic flows and optimize application performance and availability
• Assist application teams with load balancing requirements, validations, and testing
• Participate in AVI and NSX upgrades, patches, and lifecycle activities
Firewall Responsibilities
• Design, configure, and manage enterprise Firewall multivendor environments (Palo Alto preferred; Cisco ASA/Fortinet acceptable)
• Implement and maintain firewall security policies, NAT rules, and VPN configurations
• Support firewall rule reviews, audits, and cleanup activities
• Troubleshoot firewall related connectivity and security issues
• Perform firewall software upgrades, patching, and hardware replacements
• Support PCI, SOX, and security compliance requirements
• Collaborate closely with Security teams on vulnerability remediation and threat mitigation
