Position Title: Network Engineer EntryPosition Overview: is seeking a motivated candidate to join our team. This individual will leverage tools like NEXUS, Grafana, and Prometheus to monitor traffic and cross-domain activity, proactively maintain alert thresholds, and assist in generating performance reports. The ideal candidate will contribute to data analysis efforts aimed at uncovering inefficiencies and driving continuous improvements, while also supporting basic network troubleshooting and escalation protocols. Strong collaboration skills are essential, as this role bridges software, operations, and innovation teams to ensure analytics support mission objectives.
Responsibilities- Use tools such as NEXUS, Grafana, and Prometheus to track packet traffic, chat traffic, and cross-domain activity.
- Configure and maintain alert thresholds to proactively detect and respond to network anomalies.
- Assist in generating network health and performance reports using NEXUS and related analytics tools.
- Support the analysis of operational data to identify recurring issues, inefficiencies, and technology refresh opportunities.
- Participate in data correlation activities and apply findings to support the implementation of continuous improvements.
- Help document and communicate identified issues and proposed enhancements to senior engineers and leadership.
- Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues and escalate unresolved problems to Tier III support or vendors per SOPs.
- Support cross-functional collaboration with software, operations, and innovation teams to align data analytics with mission objectives.
Required Qualifications- 2 years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer
- Understanding of IP networking, basic routing, and network performance optimization concepts
- Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to document and present findings clearly
- Associate's or in a related discipline; equivalent military or technical training considered
Required Certifications- IAT Level II Certification (Security+ CE)
Security Clearance- DoD Active Secret Clearance
Education- Associate's or in a related discipline; equivalent military or technical training considered
Preferred Qualifications & SkillsSalary Range$75,000 - $95,000
