Full Job Description
Assemble information needed to create business intelligence solutions as part of information delivery and data analytic projects. Expectations include independently and/or collaboratively performing analytical activities aimed at defining the specifications needed to develop business intelligence and analytics solutions.
• Define and document specifications for creating solutions that provide accurate and timely information to the organization, including defining requirements needed for the design and development of reports, dashboards or other business intelligence components as assigned.
• Define and document specifications for data resources/assets as needed.
• Trains and mentors' user communities on use of business intelligence and analytical tools; such as, self-service capabilities and standard report packages.
• As part of the business intelligence and analytics project portfolio, may assist in the creation of business process or data flow diagrams that may be needed prior to development efforts commencing.
• Responsible for conducting interviews with various stakeholders across the organization to perform a needs assessment for incoming requests.
• Assist project leaders in task management and project coordination.
• Assist with data management activities; including, list management, metadata management, and glossary management.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate a working understanding of dependent IT systems and the ability to collaborate with IT teams in support of non-functional requirements, architectural needs, estimates, and planning.

Other Job Requirements

Responsibilities
2+ years' experience in business intelligence working with business or systems analysis and design concepts.

A bachelor's degree in business intelligence, management information systems, mathematics, statistics, analytics, computer and information sciences or similar is required. May substitute an additional three or more years of direct experience in business intelligence, data analytics or statistics in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

Ability to write basic queries using standard query languages.

Familiarity with both business analysis principles and project management methodologies.

The ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies while considering the business needs and direction.

Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools/environments with ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Working knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts, including various forms of data modeling (dimensional and relational) and warehousing strategies.

Demonstrable proficiency in overseeing the definition or project scope and in managing small to midsize projects to completion on the delivery of the defined scope.
