Network ArchitectNetwork Architect Location: Manassas, VA
Overview Seeking a Network Architect to design, optimize, and support advanced, mission-critical network environments. This role focuses on modern architectures, Kubernetes-based networking, system performance, and resilient communications.
Key Responsibilities - Design and enhance network architectures across environments
- Evaluate Kubernetes networking and CNI solutions (e.g., Calico, Cilium, Flannel)
- Support migrations, segmentation, and traffic optimization
- Manage and refine ACLs and network configurations
- Analyze application/network performance and troubleshoot issues
- Conduct capacity planning, resiliency testing, and failure analysis
- Produce technical documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Recommend network tools, hardware, and software
Required Qualifications - Experience with Kubernetes and container networking
- Knowledge of CNI tools (Calico, Cilium, Flannel, etc.)
- Strong networking fundamentals (VLANs, routing, IP, subnetting)
- Experience with ACLs and packet analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark)
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications - Familiarity with protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.) and platforms (Cisco, Arista)
- Experience with high-speed networking, Linux, and scripting (Python/Bash)
- Knowledge of SDN, OVS, and VxLAN
Education & Requirements - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3 years of relevant experience preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Eligible for DoD Secret Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required
