Position DescriptionUnder the direction of the VP for Data Strategy and Enrollment Management, the Network Administrator oversees all functions of the technology department and is responsible for helping maximize the use/benefit of the school's network and systems to ensure timely and accurate decisions can be made based on that information. Responsible for project management related to the integration, implementation and maintenance of software programs and applications which are part of the organization's information systems.
The Network Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, security, and reliability of the College's technology infrastructure. This position administers network systems, servers, cloud services, cybersecurity tools, and enterprise technology platforms to ensure secure and efficient operations across the institution. The position works closely with the IT staff and campus departments to support institutional technology needs.
Position Essential Duties- Administer and maintain the College's wired and wireless network infrastructure.
- Install, configure, monitor, and maintain network switches, routers, firewalls, and related equipment.
- Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and related services.
- Manage Windows servers, virtualization environments, storage systems, and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance and proactively resolve connectivity and infrastructure issues.
- Maintain endpoint security, antivirus, and cybersecurity monitoring systems.
- Perform vulnerability assessments, implement security updates, and assist with incident response activities.
- Administer system backups and disaster recovery processes, including periodic testing and documentation.
- Maintain user accounts, permissions, authentication, and identity management systems.
- Assist with technology planning, equipment replacement schedules, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Evaluate, test, and implement new technologies that improve system performance, reliability, and security.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and system issues and provide advanced technical support to the IT team.
- Coordinate with technology vendors for hardware, software, licensing, warranty support, and technical services.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network diagrams, system configurations, inventories, and technical procedures.
- Participate in on-call or after-hours maintenance activities as needed to minimize disruption to College operations.
- Remain current on emerging technologies, cybersecurity threats, and industry best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position, with most work performed in a standard office environment. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Occasional after-hours work may be required for software or hardware updates and installations. Travel for meetings or training may also be required, including some evening and weekend hours as needed.

QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related field and at least 3-5 years' work related experience or an equivalent of education and experience. Must demonstrate a positive,customer-service-oriented attitude;communicateeffectivelyandrelate welltostudents, employees, and others;workeffectively in an environment with frequentinterruptions, and buildrapportwith students.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Experience in Windows server environment including Azure VM environments.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration including Microsoft Teams calling. Knowledge of methods and practices of repairing and upgrading software systems.
- Experience managing large complex wired and wireless network infrastructure.
- Experience with security and access control systems.
