Leidos is looking to hire a NetOps Specialist Senior in Barstow, CA to join our SMIT program. The NetOps Specialist Senior will be responsible for performing enterprise network operations and engineering support for a broad range of programs. This will include planning, designing, and evaluating various components of the USMC network on the Service Management, Integration and Transport (SMIT) program.
SMIT is the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under the Service Management, Integration, and Transport portion of NGEN-R, the Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, Leidos will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.
Other responsibilities will include but not be limited to:- Designs, installs, configures, troubleshoots, and manages Cisco Enterprise networking solutions.
- Interfacing with end-users for the purpose of designing and implementing network solutions and design recommendations.
- Monitor computer and network systems to improve network performance and reliability.
- Ability to work independently managing daily tasks and organize time without needing close supervision.
- Ability to work with coworkers and customers sharing updates and solutions to problems.
- Coordinate infrastructure repairs including directing remote activities to ensure continuity for service delivery.
- Review root cause analysis documentation to address performance management and incident correlation issues.
- Work within the DevSecOps methodology to plan and support implementation of new technologies.
- Prepare recommendations for resolutions to NetOps challenges based on monitoring results, tools analysis, and/or forensics.
- Assist the Cyber Team employ approved defense-in-depth principles and practices (e.g., defense-in-multiple places, layered defenses, and security robustness). Assist with the collection of intrusion artifacts (e.g., source code, malware, and trojans) and use discovered data to enable mitigation of potential computer network defense (CND) incidents within the enterprise.
Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience; additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
- US Citizen and with an active DoD Secret Clearance
- Must possess Security+ and CCNP certifications

Pay Range:Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
