Indiana University Health Care Associates, Inc. d/b/a Indiana University Health Medical Group seeks a Nephrologist based in Bloomington, Indiana, serving South Central Indiana.
Job duties: Deliver Nephrology medical services to adult patients through the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases, ailments, and disabilities. Provide medical supervision and direction to non-physician staff. Utilize other physician inpatient and outpatient services of hospitals and the healthcare system consistent with patient freedom of choice and available technologies and facilities. Perform other administrative duties and responsibilities as reasonable and consistent with the role of a physician. Position is based in Bloomington, Indiana, with a requirement to provide nephrology services at multiple outpatient and dialysis clinics in Monroe, Lawrence, Morgan, Orange, Owen, and Greene Counties. All travel is between clinics and the hospital site as determined by patient demand, with no overnight travel; all sites are within a reasonable commute of Bloomington. Approximately 50% of duties are at outpatient and dialysis clinics, and approximately 50% are at the employer hospital and chief outpatient nephrology site in Bloomington.
Minimum requirements: M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent in Medicine; eligibility for or possession of a valid Indiana medical license; completion of a medical residency in Internal Medicine; completion of a medical fellowship in Nephrology; and Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Nephrology. Foreign equivalent degree accepted.

IU Health Bloomington Hospital and Regional Academic Health Center, part of the Indiana University Health Medical Group, opened in December 2021. The facility offers a personalized approach to inpatient services (including intensive care, complex surgeries and comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services), outpatient services with leading-edge diagnostic testing, flexible space in the emergency department for post-care observation, a dedicated trauma center and a cancer infusion center.
