Responsibilities

  • Participate in developing patient care service plans aligned with the hospital's Mission and Vision.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and the Nevada Nurse Practice Act, while meeting staffing productivity targets.
  • Engage in budget development and implementation to maintain quality patient care within established guidelines.
  • Select, train, and evaluate unit staff; initiate personnel actions following HR policies.
  • Coach charge nurses and personnel on effective staffing patterns to enhance care quality.
  • Identify opportunities for performance improvements and incorporate relevant data into care practices.

Job Summary and Qualifications

  • You will participate in development of the plan of patient care services for the responsible clinical area(s) to meet the Mission and Vision of the Hospital
  • You will ensure unit compliance with all regulatory agencies and the State of Nevada Nurse Practice Act, ensure daily staffing standards meet productivity target, coach charge nurses and other unit personnel on effective staffing patterns, and seek opportunities to improve care or system process by incorporating performance improvement principles and data
  • You will participate in annual budget development, implementation and maintenance ensuring operations are managed in unit(s) within established guidelines and delivering quality patient care
  • You will select, train and evaluate subordinates and initiate personnel actions in accordance with the Human Resources policies and organizational philosophy, provide opportunities for professional growth, and serve as a positive role model for staff management, problem solving and professional standards of nursing


What qualifications you will need:
