Program Manager to join our Team in Indian Head, MD.
This position provides support to assist with performing organizational development, management and planning, public affairs, records management, and analytical and program management functions in support of the Command Operations at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division, and other Indian Head tenants such as Naval Ordnance Safety and Security Activity (NOSSA).
Position Responsibilities:- Experience in program and business management concepts, practices, and procedures relevant to NWC operations and management.
- Performs process development and refinement and leads and implements management operations across the Contract/Task Order (TO) in support of NWC management, sustainment, development, and modernization.
- Provides effective problem solving and project milestone reporting and planning leveraging Microsoft (MS) Project
- Works closely with warfare center leaders and stakeholders to identify, plan, and implement projects, programs, and solutions to improve current warfare center capabilities, or create new warfare center capabilities.
- Assesses the level of effort for work packages and work plans, and implements tasks, programs, and projects.
- Performs task balancing and risk analysis for all projects.
- Achieves NWC operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepares and completes action plans; implements production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, and resolves problems.
- Determines systemic improvements and recommends changes.
- Enforces policies and procedures.
Position Requirements:- US Citizenship
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor's (BA/BS) degree in a technical or managerial discipline.
- Fifteen (15) years relevant experience in program/project management is desired.
- A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desired.
- Minimum Security Clearance: SECRET
