Full Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Navy Multiband Terminal (NMT) Electronics Technician Maintenance (ETM) II applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. This technician works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician. Work typically requires an understanding of the interrelationships of circuits, exercising independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment. Work may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices. This position may provide technical guidance to lower-level technicians.

The ideal candidate will have three (3) years of experience working with electronic test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes, Amplifiers, and other Radio Frequency components. Three years (3) experience performing overhauls and repairs on any of the following shipboard electronics systems: High Frequency (HF), Radio Frequency (RF), High Frequency Radio Group (HFRG), Navy Multiband Terminal (NMT), Digital Modular Radio (DMR), Computer Based Satellite Program (CBSP), Global Broadcasting System (GBS) and/or Naval Shipboard Antenna Systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Prior working knowledge on two or more of the followings systems is required: Digital Modular Radio (DMR), Commercial Broadband Satellite Program (CBSP), Navy Multi-band Terminal (NMT), Extremely High Frequency (EHF), Super High Frequency (SHF), Global Broadcast System (GBS), KA Band, and Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) Processor (TIP); perform all duties unsupervised.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Travel Required: 25%
Work Location: San Diego, CA
This position is required to have and maintain a Secret US DoD security clearance.

PREFERRED SKILLS
Desired to be capable of performing all duties unsupervised.
Desired to provide the status of their assigned tasks via both prepared and ad hoc oral briefings to senior Navy personnel.
Must be able to develop written instructions, procedures, schematics and other technical documentation.

REMARKS
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of technical and management personnel.

Compensation: $44 - $52 an hour.
Compensation for positions at Centurum vary depending on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, location, responsibilities, skill set, and level of experience.
