Naval Systems Suitability & Supportability Analyst

Job Description:
We are seeking experienced former Navy technicians, operators, and systems specialists to support Suitability, Reliability, Maintainability, Supportability, and Availability (SRMS&A) efforts across multiple high-visibility naval programs. Ideal candidates bring operational or maintenance experience with the Aegis Combat System and are ready to contribute immediately with minimal system-specific training. Prior experience in FC (SPY-1), ACNT, OS, or ET ratings is highly valued.
This role directly supports programs such as LCS Seaframe and Mission Modules, Aegis Weapon System, Ballistic Missile Defense, USCG systems, and DDG 1000 through engineering analysis, fleet event participation, and data-driven assessments.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
System Suitability & Supportability Analysis
• Support development of system suitability assessment plans and identification of data-collection opportunities, aligning with SOW 5.2 and 5.8.1. • Assess logistics and engineering maturity constraints and participate in working groups to ensure MOEs and MOPs are appropriately captured and assessed. • Review engineering deliverables and system design artifacts, identifying supportability issues and providing recommendations.
Data Collection, Processing & Analysis
• Collect, clean, process, and analyze large technical and logistics datasets to support data-driven decisions. • Conduct advanced statistical analyses to identify trends, risks, and system performance indicators. • Develop visualizations such as charts, dashboards, and graphs for government stakeholders.
Fleet and Test Event Support
• Support ship execution events including in-port grooms, Fleet Logistics Assessments, land-based developmental tests, and underway suitability data collection. • Follow established Navy and programmatic SOPs during all fleet-support actions.
Reporting & Communication
• Develop quick-look reports, final suitability reports, SITREPs, and other required documentation per SOW 5.6.7 and 5.8.9. • Prepare and deliver formal presentations and participate in technical working groups. • Provide weekly status highlights to government stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
• Strong background in Navy fleet operations, combat systems, engineering, or systems maintenance. • Experience supporting or operating systems such as Aegis, LCS Seaframe, BMD, or similar naval combat systems. • Familiarity with Navy procedures, standard operating practices, and shipboard operational environments. • Ability to perform data analysis and communicate findings clearly.
Highly Desired Navy Experience:
• Active Secret clearance
Fire Controlman (FC) - especially SPY-1 radar experience • Aegis Computer Network Technician (ACNT) • Operations Specialist (OS)
• Electronics Technician (ET) Aegis Combat System operational or maintenance experience
Security Clearance:
Applicants must have an active security clearance and/or the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a DoD Government- granted security clearance. Individuals will be subject to a background investigation to include but not limited to, criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.
