Position Overview

TRINITY IT is seeking a senior Naval Operations Subject Matter Expert to support a Navy Command and Control (C2) modernization and experimentation effort focused on Future Naval Operations, operational planning, naval fires integration, and advanced decision-support capabilities.

The successful candidate will serve as the principal operational advisor and help bridge fleet operational requirements with emerging software and command-and-control technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years operational Navy or Joint experience.
  • Command and Control operational experience.
  • Naval Fires planning experience.
  • Carrier Strike Group (CSG) and/or Maritime Operations Center (MOC) planning experience.
  • Graduate of Command & Staff College or warfare-qualified officer.
  • Active TS/SCI or eligibility for TS/SCI.

Highly Desired

  • Former O-5/O-6.
  • Fleet Staff experience.
  • Joint Staff experience.
  • Global Command and Control System - Maritime (GCCS-M) or Global Command and Control System - Joint (GCCS-J) experience.
  • Distributed Maritime Operations (DMO).
  • JADC2 experience.

Key Personnel Participation Requirement

This position is designated as Key Personnel under a competitive U.S. Navy acquisition. Candidates selected for proposal submission will be expected to actively support pre-award activities, including technical discussions, solution development, and customer-facing presentations associated with the acquisition process.

Successful candidates should be comfortable discussing their technical and operational experience with Government stakeholders and participating in presentation and demonstration activities as part of the proposal evaluation process.

Location: San Diego, California

Primary Work Location: NIWC Pacific and associated U.S. Government facilities in the San Diego area.

Work Environment: This position is expected to support mission activities primarily onsite at Government facilities. Candidates should anticipate routine in-person engagement with Government personnel, participation in technical and operational working groups, experimentation events, demonstrations, planning sessions, and other customer-facing activities. Limited telework may be authorized based on Government direction and mission requirements; however, applicants should expect the majority of work to be performed onsite at U.S. Government locations in the San Diego area.

Travel: Occasional CONUS travel may be required to support demonstrations, operational events, technical exchanges, testing activities, and customer meetings.
