Our National Estimating team is growing! We're seeking self-motivated individuals to help lead our efforts in establishing takeoff methodology and systems to promote that growth. Our National Senior Estimator will apply their experience in quantity takeoffs across our national plan portfolio. The role will work with both national and local teams to support plans, communities, and building practices within one or more of our divisions.

Candidate will have a thorough understanding of residential framing methodologies and the ability to visualize real-world installation and application from two-dimensional frame and engineering drawings. The ability to accurately read and understand construction documents and local codes is a must. Establish and maintain the tools and methods to create material and labor estimates for home designs based on regional construction practices. Manage base house, elevation, and option takeoffs as they relate to each other within each plan. Identify impactful specification changes as they affect completed takeoffs. Develop appropriate spreadsheets to record data and extend pricing. Review and validate takeoffs for accuracy at both an administrative and as-built level. Support and train junior staff.
Education/Experience
The preferred candidate will have a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of estimating experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. The candidate will also be comfortable working with software as an integral part of this role. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel. Previous experience in software such as Planswift, AutoCAD, JD Edwards, and Simpson Pipeline or similar will be valued.
