Job Description

The National Security Space Senior Manager is a member of the Lockheed Martin Government Affairs (LMGA) staff responsible for providing an integrated customer facing capability for the long-term growth of Lockheed Martin. As a member of the Washington LMGA team, this position is responsible for developing close, executive-level working relationships with United States Government customers and stakeholders in the Washington DC area, including the Space Force, OSW staffs in the Pentagon, and OMB and NSC staff in the White House to facilitate the discovery, evaluation, qualification, and development of new business opportunities and "keep sold" activities on programs of record. This portfolio will focus on broad, cross-functional campaign development and execution across the full range of national security space missions, consistent with the evolving US government approach to national security space. This individual must be familiar with current national security space architectures, evolving DoW approaches, and concepts surrounding Title 10 space capabilities integration and collaboration. This individual will ensure consistent messaging to the government; establish priorities and support strategic mission area campaign plans; and add value to LMGA and business area programs and activities. This individual will also work closely with the Lockheed Martin Legislative Affairs team in the development of integrated congressional engagement strategies and plans.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Support corporate and business area staffs in establishing and achieving their domestic business objectives, with specific expertise in DoW, Space Force, OMB, and NSC national security space matters
• Drive cross-mission, cross-business area horizontal integration among the business areas and lines of business having an interest in DoW
• Maintain currency on worldwide political and military developments that could impact LM's DoW programs and provide perspective to ensure LM positively influences Executive Branch decision making.
• Participate in strategy reviews, color teams, and other business rhythms, providing subject matter expertise on DoW issues, priorities, "voice of the customer" and related insights.
• Travel as necessary to support LM business activities, customer engagements, and approved training activities.

Basic Qualifications
• Significant subject matter expertise with the National Security Space Enterprise, particularly Space Force and OSW organizations, OMB, NSC, and associated enterprises, processes and leadership is required.
• Minimum of 8 years' space program experience and working-level technical expertise in multiple major space mission areas.
• Highly developed communications and leadership skills.
• Deep experience in DoW space programs, acquisition, budgeting, and requirements processes.
• TS/SCI security clearance

Desired skills
• Demonstrated understanding and experience with DoW requirements processes, DoW acquisition processes, and the DoW budget and strategy processes.
• Demonstrated understanding of Washington DC interagency processes, equities, and players and how they impact Lockheed Martin programs and opportunities.
• Ability to engage in and shape analytic space studies to understand their impacts on future strategic planning and space systems, to include supporting alternative architecture studies.

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $144,600 - $255,070. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $166,400 - $288,305. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
