Full Job Description
Essential Function
  • Building and leading the business within a given geography. Leading a team of salespeople to help drive revenue. Sales managers must motivate their teams to generate leads, build client relationships, set targets to hit or exceed revenue forecasts, and ultimately meet customer needs. Recruits, trains & develops and advances performance of their given team. Accountable for overall performance management of their assigned team.
  • Evaluates sales performance and market/industry trend data by analyzing available internal and external sources and communicating insights when appropriate
  • Maximizes execution and utilization of marketing plan programs and promotions to achieve desired results with targeted wholesale, chain and retail customers; develops and builds upon business partnerships with key wholesale, chain and retail customers to maximize business performance
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key business clients. They regularly communicate with clients, resolve client queries, and increase revenue by promoting product innovation. They also collaborate with sales teams to generate sales leads.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Strong business planning, financial fact-based selling skills; good written/verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Must have, and maintain, a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Extensive car travel and overnight stays required
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Good analytical skills; ability to interpret/communicate industry data
  • Strong business math concepts (i.e. gross margins, selling price, COGS, ROI, etc.)
  • Collaborate well in a team environment and develop account relationships
  • Responsible for being knowledgeable of and acting in strict accordance with the requirements of all relevant laws, regulations, and Company policies, including, among other areas, Food and Drug Administration regulations

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university preferred. 3 - 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and/or sales experience in similar industry
  • Account management and people management experience in CPG or related experience considered.
