Position Title: National Sales Manager - Brazing and Soldering Automation & Metal Joining Solutions

POSITION SUMMARY:

We're seeking a dynamic National Sales Manager to oversee the sales team operating within the United States, Canada and Mexico and increase sales of our custom automated brazing and soldering systems, as well as our proprietary brazing and soldering pastes. This role is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, achieving sales targets, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You'll manage the sales department's financial data, coach and mentor sales personnel, and strive to create a high-performing sales team. You'll support the Regional Sales Managers through the full sales cycle-from prospecting and technical consultation to closing and post-sale support. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and customer service teams to facilitate tailored solutions that meet complex customer needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies, by balancing key performance measures, to maintain and improve the Company's sales results
  • Lead and manage a dynamic group of Regional Sales Managers and Representatives to identify and pursue new business opportunities across the U.S. and Canada in target industries
  • Monitor and analyze sales pipeline, business ratios, and the sales activities of each territory sales manager
  • Travel with territory sales managers to maintain relationships with key accounts and oversight of territories
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop sales forecasts aligned with company goals
  • Submit sales activity and other reports, as needed/requested
  • Ensure appropriate staffing to meet department needs
  • Evaluate employees' performance and align compensation plans with performance and company goals
  • Provide developmental opportunities through identification of internal and external training opportunities
  • Create opportunities for employee growth and continuous coaching for functional and leadership potential
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and decision-makers
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support sales efforts and resolve customer challenges
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, CRM records, and call reports
  • Support marketing initiatives and contribute to strategic sales planning
  • Represent Fusion at industry events, conferences, and customer training sessions
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to close deals and drive revenue
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Follow all safety protocols and company policies
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • 10+ years with proven field sales experience, preferably selling capital equipment or industrial automation
  • 3 years of sales management experience
  • Proven leadership ability
  • Strong technical aptitude with mechanical or automation systems
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to travel independently throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
  • Experience using CRM tools to manage pipeline and customer interactions

PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
  • Knowledge of brazing and soldering processes and materials
  • Experience selling filler metals, paste alloys, or applicator equipment
  • Background in mechanical or chemical engineering
