Job Summary: The Clinical Applications Specialist provides post-sales training, validation, and support related to the implementation and ongoing use of Nova Point-of-Care monitors, as well as Nova Blood Gas and Critical Care analyzers, to ensure customers achieve optimal use of these technologies.
Responsibilities: - Performs on-site application studies for Nova POC and HBTA products, including StatStrip, StatSensor, Prime, products.
- Conducts on-site application activities, including correlation to alternative reference methods, precision studies, linearity studies, and customer training.
- Works with new customers after the sale to streamline validation requirements for Nova products and support a successful, smooth transition to Nova technology.
- Reviews and prepares data outputs and presents performance data obtained during on-site or remotely supported application studies to current customers, as appropriate.
- Demonstrates the ability to understand and educate end users on instrument use and application-related issues, and to perform data analysis in support of Clinical Applications department objectives.
- Manages customer calls that are escalated to the Clinical Applications group from the Technical Support Hotline.
- Timely, detailed documentation of all onsite activities and callbacks within Nova's CRM system.
- Maintains data files for all linearity, precision, and correlation data per department policy.
- Serves as a resource to field support peers.
- Must be willing to travel within or outside the assigned territory approximately 50% to 75% of the time by car, air and/or train, including overnight stays. Must be able to travel on short notice.
- Valid United States driver's license required.
Experience Requirements: - Bachelor's or associate degree in Medical Technology required. Degrees in Biology, Chemistry, or Biochemistry may also be considered with relevant clinical laboratory experience.
- 2-4+ years of medical diagnostic industry or hospital related experience
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: - Willingness to travel as required (including air and ground transportation).
- Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle as needed for job responsibilities.
- Able to store, transport materials, samples, or demonstration equipment (up to ~25 pounds).
- Comfort with standing and engaging with customers for extended periods.
- Ability to adapt to varying work environments (e.g., customer sites, laboratories, offices).

Targeted Salary Range: $95,000 - $100,000 a year
