Full Job Description
National Business Development Manager (NBDM) is responsible for high level sales-related activities of all new national client sales for both new business and when necessary existing account new business as assigned at the national account level. The NBDM will develop new national account business relationships while maintaining strong customer relationships as they follow Ground Masters mission and goals. The NBDM will report to the Chief Customer Officer.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Assume direct sales responsibility at the national account level. Candidate must be available to travel regularly throughout the U.S.
  2. Developing new national account leads through sales prospecting (i.e. active research, networking, lead generation, pipeline management, Zoom, and Costar).
  3. Responsible for understanding customer's needs and positioning/promoting our services to meet those needs.
  4. Ability to work with CCO, and other Ground Masters companies.
  5. Ensure effective client communication and the achievement of agreed upon client satisfaction levels.
  6. Serve as the primary point of contact/liaison between national account/clients and Ground Masters to ensure the highest levels of customer service.
  7. Build, develop, and maintain strategic business relationships with high level decision makers.
  8. Utilize and update CRM (Salesforce) to reflect current and potential customers.
  9. Work with the Ground Masters analyst to help calculate bid rates for each account and their sites.
  10. Have the ability to create high-level presentations for national account opportunities and assist in the creation of bids and RFPs.
  11. Create and follow a strategic sales plan to make sure client's expectations and Ground Masters goals are met.
  12. Meet or exceed client revenue target with assigned national accounts.
  13. Work with the National Team to help manage preseason property inspection process for any new account and potential existing accounts to ensure completion of all staking and photography by all Area Managers by November.
  14. Collect intelligence on pricing, sales, competition, clients, prospective clients, and industry trends.
  15. Work to achieve and exceed overall sales goals and sales activity standards.
  16. Measure and map all client's sites to meet their snow removal expectations.
  17. Partner with National Team and other departments during winter season to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  18. Review and follow up with customer service feedback for your customers and work with CCO if a corrective action plan is needed.
  19. Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.
  20. Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School or equivalent education required. Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years of hands-on sales experience, and industry experience is required.
  • The NBDM must be a sales professional with a successful track record of meeting and exceeding goals.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Willingness to take initiative, ownership, and risk.
  • Strong computer skills overall.
  • Must be able to perform take-offs and prepare detailed bid documents and specifications for snow and ice control services.
  • Highly flexible and adapt well to rapidly changing environment.
  • Able to multi-task and work with pressures of deadlines.
  • Strong value system (e.g. integrity, honesty).
  • Well-developed sales skills with the capacity for continuous improvement.
  • Passionate desire to exceed and excel.
