How will this role impact First Command?

National Branch Financial Advisors serve as key financial partners for clients assigned to the Home Office, providing primary support through comprehensive service, guidance, and advice. Advisors interact with clients via inbound phone and video consultations, as well as proactive outbound outreach, ensuring clients are supported throughout all stages of their financial journeys.

In this role, advisors collaborate with clients to develop prudent financial strategies aligned with their best interests, adhering to fiduciary standards and First Command's philosophy. Advisors ensure timely, professional, and effective client support while maintaining high ethical standards.

What will the employee do in this role?

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary advisor for assigned clients, providing personalized financial planning, advice, and support.
  • Proactively engage clients through outreach to address financial needs, including insurance updates, investment reviews, and product recommendations.


Financial Guidance & Problem-Solving:

  • Analyze client situations to recommend tailored financial strategies aligned with their best interests.
  • Resolve client concerns in collaboration with internal partners and ensure seamless resolutions.


Operational Expertise:

  • Maintain expertise in financial planning concepts, investment products, and First Command business policies.
  • Execute leadership-directed client campaigns and assist with insurance-related updates, such as policy adjustments and elections.


Service Excellence & Collaboration:

  • Deliver exceptional service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining detailed documentation of interactions.
  • Partner with internal teams and leadership to enhance client experiences and support process improvements.


What skills and qualifications does this employee need?

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Degree in finance, economics, or a related business field preferred.


Work Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in the brokerage industry or equivalent preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Financial Planner/Advisor preferred.
  • 1+ years of contact center experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in brokerage and investment trading is strongly preferred.


Certifications

  • Series 7 and 66 (or equivalent) and Life & Health Licenses required; must be obtained within 120 days of licensing start date.
  • Completion of all coursework and certification at First Command Fast Start Academy required.
  • Active Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation preferred.
